Character Information

Name: Hibari Kyoya
Canon: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Canon Point: After end of the manga
Age: 16

History: http://reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Kyoya_Hibari A thing to note about his history is that he doesn't have any explanation about who his parents are or anything about his home life. It's said that theres rumors his parents are both influential/rich, and that he lives in a mansion, but nothing is ever said for certain. He IS however, related to Fon, a chinese martial-artist, making him at least part chinese.

Personality: Hibari Kyouya is a hard person to grasp at first. One the surface he's very stoic, serious, bloodthirsty and unforgiving. The first time he's introduced in the manga is the school speaking about him as the 'strongest delinquent' and the head of the Disciplinary Commitee. He carries an air of fear around him because he is so confident in his strength and ability to win, and it makes the entire school respect him and be afraid when he is angry.

His biggest rule is to not crowd him, which basically means he hates when people group together around him, invading his personal space, or trying to 'pretend to become stronger' by teaming up together. He particularly loathes weak people or those weaker than himself, as he beats people up for just forming a group in front of him-or disagreeing with a decision of his. If someone crowds him, not even his right-hand man is safe from his wrath.

This is where things get interesting, though. Despite the air of cold superiority and sheer fighting rage around him, he actually has his own set of morals and rules. The best way to describe his own alignment is Chaotic Good-someone who follows his own laws and morals, but will readily beat the crap out of anyone who ever disagrees with him or tries to control him/tell him otherwise.

Hibari is the head of the Disciplinary Committee for a reason. He is always seen with the band around his arm, regardless whether he is in school or not-he even brings it along with him in battles in the mafia when he's wearing his jacket. In the Simon arc, he even bet his armband as his pride-his honor. If he lost it, he'd lose the battle. There is very little in the world that Hibari regards greater than his school, his pride in it, and his ideals about order and justice.

Hibari's ringtone is even the school national anthem, something that Gokudera says literally no one else likes-even teaching it later on to a bird he tamed. In the anime-and occasionally the manga, he is seen to be patrolling the streets, implying that Hibari seems to regard himself as the police force of the school area as well. It's unknown why he holds the school in such regard, but it can be said that he will die protecting it, and to some extent, it's students.

An oddly more human side can be seen with Hibari on occasion, though-it's very hard to find as he is almost always raring to fight and gets angry at practically the drop of a hat. Multiple occasions he is found as to having hunted down troublemakers and beaten up Vongola's enemies because 'they were threatening members of the school'. He goes off to Mukoro's den alone because he'd been beating up members of their Junior High and did so to settle the score. He even expresses the reason he saves Yamamoto and Gokudera in one of the battles is the fact 'they were still on school grounds', and no one was allowed to die on school grounds.

When appearing in the future in the TYL arc, he also expressed that he'd been looking for the missing students-obviously because they were missing from class and disrupting order. But this goes hand in hand with the fact that he absolutely hates owing people things, and if they do something nice to him or save him, he will repay it to them as soon as possible. He doesn't like the fact that he seems weak like that.

Along with that, if people are persistent enough, he starts showing that he cares about them, in very strange, violent, roundabout ways. He has saved guardians' lives on multiple occasions before, usually giving some excuse as to how they were weak and everything-and once even knocking Dino INTO his beloved school to save his life. He's not gentle with other people, and never will be, but once they show themselves to him as not just being 'weak herbivores', he respects them a little more. And if Hibari respects a person, it is probably the best compliment he can give them. He doesn't fight whom he doesn't respect-at least not seriously-and if you earn his attention in that manner, you have a better chance of actually gaining some semblance of a human feeling from him.

Granted, the only person he absolutely trusts is himself in battle, as shown when his older self sets things up for his younger version to take over, but he will occasionally work together well with people he respects. He does not like being ordered around or told to do something, though, and will often times react violent to someone even THINKING they can control and hold him down. It's a knee-jerk reaction and one of the easiest ways to piss him off.

Still, Hibari has a soft spot for animals, having his little yellow bird named Hibird that he tamed off of a serial killer. He keeps it with him all the time, allowing it to sit on him and around him, even building an extra room in the school for all the Hibirds he collects. His box animal, Roll, is also a tiny animal that he seems to be very gentle with. When Roll first came out, he was scared and stabbed Hibari in the hand by accident, but Hibari didn't even get mad. Instead he smiled at him and told him to be brave as they began to fight. He even tells Hibird to get away from the fight as he starts, so it doesn't get hurt.

Its implied he loves small animals because of the fact they seem weak, but they still struggle and exist anyway, making them strong, probably a philosophy he holds, and even tells Tsuna during a fight to help break him out of a funk. That scene shows he does care somewhat about Tsuna's well-being, since Tsuna's strength is something that profoundly confuses him.

A final point is that because of all his posturing and the intimidating aura around him, Hibari has next to no companions, especially ones he doesn't trust. In one of his character songs, he states it as his 'fate of being alone' saying he has never experienced love and doesn't even know what it is. Not in a sociopathic way-but in a way of he's never quite interacted with a human being before. It makes sense-he forcibly pushes people away from crowding him, fighting them when they disagree with him, and does everything in his power to keep them away from him because bonds with other people are what makes them weak and he has no need for them.

And yet somewhere, he might just be pushing people away because he has no idea what to do with them.

Abilities:
Cloud Flames: With his Vongola Ring, he's able to produce Cloud flames, which have the property of Propogation-he can grow and multiply things by sending his flames into them, most notably his box animal and weapons.
Box Animal:Through another ring, he can summon his box animal, which is a small hedgehog named Roll. The most notable ability of Roll's is the ability to multiply when fed by Hibari's Cloud flames, and turn into a Needle Sphere form, which can multiply, grow spikes, form barriers, and even form an airtight arena around his owner.
Cloud Radar: Hibari can spread his Cloud flames around in a fine mist, allowing him to detect anything within it's radius, being able to tell if something is real or an illusion.
Cambio Forma: Alaude's Handcuffs: Roll can merge with him to form this weapon, which are a pair of spiked handcuffs. Due to his cloud flames, Hibari can multiply them at will, allow them to grow and shrink at will, which allows him to tear limbs off of his opponent or completely encase them in spikes.
Cloud Bracelet-Cambio Forma Version X: When Hibari activates this form, Roll turns into a modified version of Hibari's normal school uniform, becoming a floor length jacket instead. This form also increases his flames strength and abilities, as well as stamina and defense, as he is able to create multiple handcuffs, cloud hedgehogs, and chains to fight off a wave of 500 enemies at once. However, being in this form takes a lot of energy, even for Hibari.
Tonfas and Fighting abilities: Hibari's main weapons are a pair of tonfas, which can also release chains, spikes, and blades from them. He's used the chain multiple times to either attach to an opponent, or slice water clones into pieces by making them grow with his cloud flames. He is incredibly strong and tough, capable of fighting far past his body's limit. Has a very good battle sense and can figure out attacks quickly and beating up people years older than him. Refuses to ever give in.

Strengths: Physical strength, clever, stubborn(never gives up), strong sense of justice, reliable in a fight
Weaknesses: doesn't listen to authority, reckless, stubborn, violent, anti-social, distrustful

God/Shinki: Shinki
Why?: Hibari is already a fighter in his own right, and practically exists for fighting. He has an incredibly strong will and resolve, so he'd make a good weapon if someone were able to even bend his iron will. He also has a lot of problems with authority and hates talking to people, and having no memories might help him try and deal with some of the psychological scars.
Cause Of Death: An enemy from the past he never expected to see again. The people who gave his father money for turning him into a human weapon caught up with him. The Vongola were distracted by the recent mess with the Vindice, and Hibari let someone strike at his weakness for the first and last time in his life. It started with simply petting a cat, and ended with him lying in a hidden and underground lab somewhere, starving and covered in wounds. It was like his past had come back to haunt him, and Hibari would rather die than anyone see him in the state he was in right now. Unfortunately the people so desperately trying to figure out what made him so absurdly strong experimented on him far past his limits. Fighting an opponent after opponent, having chemicals injected into his blood, painful tests and surgeries all took their toll until he finally died alone in a cell, unaware that the Vongola had been tearing the place apart looking for him.
Vessel: Turns into a long ballistic knife with a skylark patterned along the blade, which can shoot off when his god presses a button on the hilt.
Name Location: On the top of his right hand.
Power: Propogation: much like his cloud flames, his ability is to grow, or multiply anything he touches. This extends to multiplying the blades his weapon form shoots, and any sort of material the blade itself is buried into-like ice, blood, etc. Things are restricted by how much energy Hibari himself has, and can only propogate things he is in direct contact with.
